RESULTS OF THE EXPERIMENT
Our partner Roman Guerneret used an implement in spring to incorporate liquid manure into the soil and then sowed maize for silage. Because of the high humidity and the frequent rains this season it was not possible to use disc harrows and cultivators for this type of work.
With the spring harrow after the third pass the field was levelled and the liquid manure was incorporated at a depth of about 5 cm. After that, the farmer received good corn sprouts and is now harvesting. The silage will be used by Mr. Guerneret as biofuel, which will later be used to generate electricity.
