RESULTS OF THE YEAR 2021
The year 2021 brought excellent results for VELES on the Russian and foreign markets. For almost two years of the pandemic we have learned to work in variable conditions, flexibly adjust to new trends and show consistently good results.
SUCCESSES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
VELES has once again confirmed its position as an industry leader. According to the results of the year, we take 14% of the market share, the data provided by the association "Rosspetsmash". For the fourth year in a row VELES has been at the top of the ranking of tillage equipment manufacturers, steadily holding the position of No. 1 in the industry.
EXPORT
In 2021 a new country appeared on the VELES export map: Denmark, the 15th country in the list of VELES dealers. Four heavy spring harrows were exported there, and went to different regions of the country. The range of machines for export has expanded: the first cultivator PCHU-7 was shipped to the Czech Republic and multipurposed stubble cultivator CHDA-4 to Germany.
Last season, VELES completed tests and opened sales of the new machine in the range of heavy spring harrows BT-12 EU. The company received a request for the implement from farmers in Germany, Denmark and the Czech Republic. The new development is used both in the spring and autumn season and can be used together with the APV mini-seeder.
VELES implements are also steadily in demand in Kazakhstan. Sales increase every year and 2021 was no exception.
EXHIBITIONS
The last year was very productive for the company in terms of exhibition activity. Our dealers promoted the equipment in the regions - they held demonstrations on farms and took part in local events. Some easing of anti-coronavirus measures in Europe gave the opportunity to demonstrate VELES machines abroad. The implements took part in a field show in Austria in the suburbs of Vienna, at the MELA exhibition in Germany (Güstrow), demo shows in Denmark (Aarhus) and Hungary (Boda). "YugAgro" exhibition brought back business activity in the Russian agrarian environment. The event was the largest and most expected event of the industry in 2021. The exhibition was visited by more than 14 thousand people. VELES stand traditionally became the center of attraction for farmers. Among them were our regular customers and farmers who are still getting a closer look at VELES machinery.
Last year we noted an unprecedented scale of VELES machine demonstrations all over the country, and our dealers played the main role in their success.
STAFF CHANGES
Towards the end of the year there were staff changes in the company as the head of the production plant of JSC "Altai Agricultural Machinery Plant" Ivan Kharlamov became a manager. The shareholders' meeting set him a task to work out a strategy of further business development, which he and his team will realize already in the new 2022.
DEVELOPMENT PLANS 2022
Among the most important plans for the coming year is the launch of the company's own foundry. Preparation for this project has already begun. The new type of activity will make it possible to produce some of the parts on our own production plant.
